About The Artists:

Jarni Blair:

A truly electrifying singer, songwriter and performer currently residing in Auckland. He's a stalwart student of blues and jazz styles of music and is often found 'losing himself' on stage; he lets nothing get between his music and the audience making each show a captivating experience.

He has been playing live paid gigs since he was 15 years old; performing in bands, duos and as a solo artist which is his current mainstay. Jarni has also played with some big wigs in the industry, including Jason Kerrison, Jordan Luck Band, recently recording with Kings and gaining the attention of one of NZ's biggest acts, Drax Project. He also plays in the well established Kiwi act, 'Summer Thieves' who are booked for NZ festivals regularly.

He released his second EP, 'Sparkle In My Eye' in August 2019, and is set to release another single this month!

Miki Brown:

Originally from Queenstown, Miki Brown is making her way from the mountains all the way up to Auckland with her exciting new EP, 'Amongst Mountains' - something she is launching / sharing with us at Good Vibrations!

Her passion for the mountains has grown over the years...

"I've always looked towards them for adventure, inspiration, challenge and a sweet escape where I can let my thoughts free. There I've found comfort and strength as everything else changes pace so erratically, the mountains have remained the constant and remind me I can get through all weathers of life."

Her EP is a reflection of the space and feelings she is left with after a good dose of nature. The EP is a combination of her stories of life, love and remaining present to the journey. She hopes to connect with others through her music and aims to remind people to connect with nature as this has had such a positive impact on her life.

She's really looking forward to sharing her music and journey so far with the community at Kanuka Yoga:

Stu Larsen:

Co-founder of Kanuka Yoga, Stu is currently spending his days playing live gigs around Auckland, teaching yoga and managing the studio.

Born and raised in Auckland, music has been a huge pillar in his life. From the younger days of playing Queen and The Beatles albums on repeat, to the years of playing in bands, recording songs and filming music videos, to his current love for acoustic songs and storytelling; his musical journey is always a source of joy and inspiration.

He looks forward to sharing a snippet of his original music with the local community, and even more excited to host two truly amazing artists; Jarni Blair and Miki Brown.

About Cacao Keeper:

We're super excited that Lucy from Cacao Keeper is joining us for the evening. Here's a little peak at what Cacao Keeper are all about:

"We source our cacao from Northern Peru with a two degrees of separation between us and the farmer. All cacao comes from the same farm, where it is grown in the shade of other native fruit such as papaya and banana...

...Aside from the organic and sustainable agricultural practices, this cacao is considered 'rescue cacao' as the replanting of this native strain 'criollo' enables the farmers to restore an ancient practice and also their land. This integrity of our sourcing enables us to be certain each cup of cacao is having a lasting positive impact on the world, and ourself. "

I believe that with each cup of this cacao there is a positive impact rippling out and changing the frequency of how cacao is treated on a collective level."

We look forward to seeing you at Good Vibrations this month!
