New to Kanuka Yoga Space?
Updated: Jan 9
If you're just getting started with yoga or getting back into it after a hiatus, we recommend easing into your practice gently.
Our Restore classes are focused on breath and gently releasing muscles and joints for more flexibility. You won't be using much of your strength, but allowing gravity to help with your alignment and flexibility.
When you're ready, please try one of our Slow flow classes which will start incorporating a bit more strength.
Walk-ins are always welcome and we will accomodate you as long as we have space. We do encourage you to book ahead of time using the Mindbody App (desktop or mobile). Restore classes are capped at 20 people.
Please bring your own mat to class. However, we have all the equipment you'll need just in-case.
Unless you’re taking kids yoga classes, you must be 16 years+ to practice at Kanuka Yoga Space.
Classes start and finish on time, and class times are available at kanukayoga.co.nz/schedule
Class sign-in opens 15 minutes before classes start.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class. This will give you ample time to find parking, find the studio, sign-in correctly and get settled before class starts.
Let the teacher know if you are pregnant or have any injuries. They will share alternative poses or how to use the props, to accomodate you. Women within the first 15 weeks of their pregnancy should wait to practice yoga.
We enjoy the sounds of our instructors and music more than phone calls.
If you have a Kanuka Friends and Family car sticker, you can use one of our three available car parks, first-in first-serve. These spaces are reserved for our 60+ Annual Pass holders. Mama+baby are welcome to use these spaces.
Otherwise, there is free parking on Hosbsonville Road, Workspace Drive, and Dowdens Lane (outside of school drop-off/pick-off times). Please use common sense if you decide to park in our neighbour's spaces after hours as some offices are open until late.
