Life is a Dance, you are the Dance.

This workshop is about reconnecting with your essence; reconnecting with your innate ability to move and dance, which is something our modern society has often forgotten about.

Firstly, a few DMT (Dance and Movement Therapy) techniques will be used as a warm up to start co-creating a non-judgmental, space where everyone can feel comfortable to just be.

Dance movement therapy - physical movement

Through a series of gentle exercises, Marielle will invite you to be curious, playful, and to embrace your natural, physical impulses, creating space for you to reconnect with who you truly are, and a chance to connect with others around you.

The environment created will welcome you to embody a sense of freedom from within; set yourself free from your analytical mind, and move from an intuitive place. Dancing can be a fantastic way to release stress and tension.

In DMT we believe that if we succeed to unleash the body and create new movement patterns that we can heal the mind, and create new, positive neural pathways.

Benefits of Uplifting Dance:

  • Have fun through movement/dance

  • Awake curiosity, playfulness, creativity

  • Improve well-being

  • Deepen self-awareness

  • Develop skills to reprogram behaviour patterns

  • Calm your nervous system

  • Foster a sense of community
