Tune-In with Yin & Live Music

Join Tanija Luke & Stu Larsen in the studio on a Tuesday evening to nourish your nervous system and tune-in for the festive season ahead.


A Yin Yoga class followed by guided relaxation with Tanija, all accompanied along with live acoustic melodies, loops and soothing sounds from Stu.

Time - 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Exchange - $45 per person

We will be cancelling 5:45pm Restore that day to create space for a longer Yin & Music.



This event will run for two hours, with the first 75 / 90 minutes being Yin Yoga, followed by an extended Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation); nourish the body and calm the nervous system.


During the Yin session, Tanija will include some Restorative postures to help soften and release the physical body, while we focus on breath to calm and slow the mind.


You'll then get comfortable in Savasana for our guided Yoga Nidra relaxation where you will find yourself drifting between consciousness and sleep, in a deep sense of relaxation.


Enjoy the soothing sounds of Stu Larsen - a professional musician, who will create a calming, live atmosphere of sounds and vibrations with his guitar, loop pedal, singing bowls and chimes as you find relaxation and rest.


This class is suitable for everyone; no previous experience required.



About Your Hosts





Tanija Luke

With over 10 years of regular yoga practice Tanija has found so much appreciation for having a space to go to where she can find a sense of internal focus, a moment to slow down and re-connect to herself.

 

Tanija encourages a stronger connection to breath during her classes, and will invite you to listen to the rhythm of your body, allowing you to take options to find stability, ease and comfort within a pose.






Stu Larsen

A professional musician and co-creator of Kanuka Yoga Space, Stu and will be creating calming vibrations using instrumental, looping acoustic guitar melodies, singing bowls and chimes to help guide you on your journey inwards.

What To Bring?

  • Please bring something comfortable / stretchy to wear

  • No flexibility, strength or previous experience required

  • You're welcome to bring a water bottle that can be sealed

  • Hot tea from Tea Total will be provided before / after the event.

  • BYO yoga mat if you have one - the studio has all props available to use
