Join Carol Jardine for a five-week yoga basics series; every Tuesday at 7-8pm. The series will begin on Tuesday, 19th January 2021.
When - Tuesdays, begins 19th January
Time - 7pm-8pm
Where - Kanuka Yoga Space
With - Carol Jardine
Cost - $100 for all five classes
Or, email us at email@example.com to arrange a bank transfer and we'll be happy to help book you into all five classes.
Anyone with an existing Kanuka Yoga pass is able to attend (excl Intro Offers).
The series is aimed at preparing your body and mind for the regular weekly schedule.
This will be a fun, non-judgemental space where we can grow and learn from each other - open communication is more than welcome during the class.
Every class will follow a similar overall structure;
Arrive and connect with your breath
Warm-up with gentle movement
Yoga lesson; move and breath mindfully as we learn
Recap and wind-down
Ending with Savasana or seated meditation
Here's a little sneak preview of what topics Carol will cover each week.
Week 1: Flow from the Core
Focusing on pranayama and key alignment cues to establishing a safe centred practice within our Sun Salutations and Vinyasa Flow. Special attention will be paid toward moving through the often misunderstood Chaturanga.
Week 2: Root to Rise
Build better balance from the toes up in standing postures and lunges. Balance, agility,
coordination, and grounding are vital for daily living. These will then be weaved into or flow. Repetition and practice takes memory from mind into muscle.
Week 3: Technique & Effect
Exploring the technique of common postures and the therapeutic effects behind them.
Week 4: Detox Flow
Twist and flow with a vinyasa practice to support our Liver, Kidneys and digestion. Weaving in all we’ve learnt so far with a healthy dose of creativity.
Week 5: Yin & Yang
Explore the difference between yin & yang yoga ( passive vs dynamic). Our final class will slowdown and tune inward with an introduction to meditation and offer insight into our Yin and Restore Classes.
Thank-you for practicing with us.
