Your first step on the yoga mat...?

Yoga is a form of physical and mental exercise that has been practiced for thousands of years. It can help improve flexibility, balance, strength, and overall well-being. However, getting started with a yoga practice can be intimidating, and it may take some time to get into a routine. One way to ease into a yoga practice is by trialing an intro offer.

How long does it take to get into a yoga practice?

The amount of time it takes to get into a yoga practice varies from person to person. Some people may feel comfortable in a class after just one session, while others may take several weeks to get into a routine. It's important to remember that yoga is a journey, and it takes time and patience to build a practice. Kanuka Yoga Space in Hobsonville has two intro offers to choose from: $30 for 10 consecutive days of yoga or $99 for unlimited yoga for one month.

It's recommended that you start with a class that is slow-paced. These classes give you time to explore fundamental poses, breath patterns, and cultivating mindfulness. There are 6:30am Slow Flow classes at Kanuka Yoga Space for only $10 - a great entry point into experiencing the benefits of yoga.

Going to a yoga studio can have several benefits, including:

  1. Accountability: Sharing space with members of your community can motivate you to show up, be present, and stick to your yoga practice.

  2. Social support: Meet like-minded people who share your interest in yoga and develop more connected relationships within your community.

  3. Personal growth: A class provides a dedicated time to self-reflect, learn and move.

  4. Diversity: Studios often offer a wide variety of styles and approaches to yoga. You can try different classes and teachers to find the ones that work best for you.

  5. Cost-effective: Investing in a yoga membership may prevent health issues related to stress, improve flexibility and strength, promote better sleep, and enhance mental clarity and focus. There are a variety of passes to make yoga more accessible.
