Ashtanga Yoga is an effective sequence of poses that develops strength and flexibility and improves your overall well-being.
The Ashtanga Vinyasa practice begins with about five repetitions of Surya Namaskara A and B, followed by the standard standing sequence and then sitting sequence, ending in a standard closing sequence.
Everyone is welcome to join, from experienced practitioners to first comers. Modifications are always offered to allow a well-balanced individual practice.
Each week you can look forward to a similar structure, and similar flow of postures / sequences. This is the beauty of Ashtanga Yoga - a structured sequence and routine you will become familiar with. With repetition this practice acts like a moving mediation where we are calming the mind, and where you can find your pace.
This class is reasonably powerful and dynamic, so please remember you have our full permission to slow down and skip shapes when needed. You can always ask your guide, Luisa, for any additional support before, during or after classes too!
