Join us in the studio for a healthy activity for the whole family to enjoy!
Starting Tues, 21st October we have a five-week kid-friendly yoga series starting - something for both adults and children.
This Family Yoga Series will be beginner friendly, and classes will weave in playfulness, movement, mindfulness and connection for you and your young ones.
Best suited for children 7-12 years old who can enjoy practicing alongside their caregivers (parents / grandparents all welcome).
If you have multiple kids to one adult, just chat with us over email and we can create the best arrangement for you.

Weekly - Tuesdays - 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Where - Kanuka Yoga Space
With - Carol Jardine
Exchange - $130 per adult (kids join free!)

Families can co-regulate together through movement, breath and play in a non-competitive and safe environment. Yoga benefits the body by offering balance and flexibility, while breath work strengthens the lungs. It supports concentration and allows caregivers and children to develop healthy techniques to tackle problem solving and stress.

/// WHAT TO EXPECT ///
In this series, Carol will introduce to asanas (yoga postures), breathing techniques (pranayama), mindfulness, mantra and guided relaxation. The emphasis is quality time together as a family, while learning a new activity in a more casual environment. There will be a wide range of movement incorporated into class along with partner poses and playful movement.
Class Structure:
Connect - welcome and setup
Move - playful poses, balances, sun salutes
Learn - yoga challenge, pose cards, flow
Relax - mindfulness, guided relaxation, story time for the children
Your Kanuka Yoga Afterschool Yoga Teacher:
Meet Carol, seasoned yoga teacher and devoted mum to her own 7 year old girl. Carol truly values weaving mindfulness, breath awareness & playful movement together for children and is thrilled to have the opportunity to share this mind body wisdom with Kanuka’s local kids.
She is gentle & playful in both her parenting style & yoga teaching style, with a deep understanding of holding space & co- regulation, the intention will be to bring some grounding into their day, alongside healthy movement & fun!
We look forward to creating a safe and welcoming space for you and your family this September.
