Kanuka Yoga's 7th Birthday Sale

7 - what a special number! 7 colours of the rainbow, 7 days of the week, 7 chakras of the westernised yoga system, this 7 year cycle is inviting us into our next chapter of alignment and renewal.

Each passing year has been so unique and different for us, so take a quick look back with us throughout the years...

In June 2018, we signed a lease - the building wasn't completed so we really relied on the vision of what this space could be:

Opening Day

Year 1 - we were focused on learning how to run a business from bottom up, leasing, fit-outs, scheduling, teachers, pricing, logos and everything in-between.

Year 2 - @_stuj_ and @raquel.globaltumbleweed grew into our new roles of teachers and studio managers, and navigated our first global pandemic by creating Kanuka Home Practice.

Year 3 - Our continuation of operations in an uncertain world of Covid - doing our best to stay grounded and utilise the practices we share, teach and love at the studio. Rebuilding our business.

Year 4 - Getting back into 'normal' business operations, planning new events, series, and re-building team moral from what felt like a long time apart.

Year 5 - with Covid basically behind us, we really found our consistent rhythm of operations again; regular classes, reliability with hosting workshops and events. Keeping in mind we did have to post-pone a fully-booked Yoga Retreat due to cyclones early in the year, but hey. This year also saw us switching from MindBody to Momence; our yoga class scheduling system and on-demand video library.

Year 6 - Amidst a financial recession... Raquel, our studio director, left her full-time corporate role and expanded Kanuka's offerings to include ACC sensitive claims classes both online and in-studio, added more workplace wellbeing clients like Te Whatu Ora, Hydroflask / All Birds, and Constellation Brands, and brought Kanuka Yoga to Birkenhead, North Shore! We continue to be 5 star rated on Google.

Year 7 - We took up a Tuesday evening residency in Ponsonby Central. Raquel also became the co-owner of School of Modern Meditation - enhancing studio partnerships so our annual memberships now include SOMM livestream classes. Our studio has become a consistently-booked out venue for guest facilitators to share teacher training, sound baths, and other wellness events. And, we continue to be 5 Stars on Google!
